I've got my two jabs but I'll continue to wear a mask. I've lost an Uncle in India due to covid. One Uncle in the U.S. is still in the hospital. Even after recovering from covid, he's had complications he is fighting. My wife lost her aunt to covid last month. I've had friends who've lost friends, cousins, and uncles. I agree the message shouldn't be messing. For politicians, it's all politics and continue will be. Just do what you feel is right for yourself and your family. If you've never had to face the tragedies so many of us are going through, you're one of the lucky ones IMO. The vaccine isn't 100% effective, especially due to new variants.
