I agree with most of what you said. I find that while Black Lives Matters is the slogan of the day, it’s not inclusive and doesn’t call attention to the immense torture felt by Muslim’s and Sikh’s during the reign of George Bush and the subjugation and imprisonment of Immigrants going on right now. While I do believe that Black Americans being shot by white officers, visually is very devastating, it only accounts for a fraction of the problem. On average, 200 unarmed individuals (of all races) get shot by cops. I find it somewhat offensive that we have massive protests about this, but zero protests about the effects of the Patriot act or the fact that we have internment camps (detention centers) set up for those seeking a better life for themselves and their families.

On the other hand, I think that the idea of a white majority - specifically that with economic power is changing. Consider this - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_ethnic_groups_in_the_United_States_by_household_income

Average white median income is $65,902 according to 2018 data. Average Black median income is $41,511

Ok, disparity.

But then we get into different ethnic groups. At the top we have Indian Americans where the median income is $119,858 - it’s interesting to see and very true when you consider the number of Indian medical professionals, doctors, and developers in the U.S. Indian’s - a type of colored people - earn twice as much as white america on average. When you see the breakdown, nearly every type of immigrant is making more money than the average white person. This is one reason why Trump is clamping down on legal immigration as well.

I’m a first generation Indian-American with brown skin, but that shouldn’t matter anyway. My politics are right smack in the middle.
